Accounting Manager

JOB LOCATION: Dallas, Texas  

 

JOB DUTIES: Provide oversight of the company’s overall accounting operations, ensuring that the company compliance with accounting standards, and making financial decisions that have impact across the company. Day-to-day management of accounting operations, including supervising staff, ensuring compliance, and delivering accurate financial statements. Act as the financial accounting expert within the team, managing daily accounting tasks of the external staff, cash and invoice management, and the accounting aspects of the company’s portfolio acquisitions and dispositions. Responsible for providing financial operational support for the company's portfolio and subordinate staff. Ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, managing accounting processes and developing financial controls and standards, legal compliance and on budget. Supervise offshore accounting staff. This is primarily an in-office role. Remote work is permitted on an as-needed basis.  

 

SPECIAL SKILLS: Position requires a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field and twelve (12) months experience. One (1) year experience must have included: US GAAPs, Formulating, reviewing and implementing cash management policies and procedures, payroll processing. Requires Certified Public Account License from any U.S. State or Territory Licensing Board.

FP&A and Investment Analyst

JOB LOCATION: Dallas, Texas  

 

JOB DUTIES: Quantitative modelling to measure and report property-level performance on operational and financial key performance metrics, including rental yield, cap rate, Debt Service Coverage Ratio (DSCR) and cashflow. Use quantitative financial modelling and market data for property valuation and to determine investment returns. Prepare investor level contributions, distributions, and estimated returns in conformance to the offering memorandum. Leverage Microsoft PowerBI to develop operational performance reporting dashboards for Asset Management, Construction, Transactions, Acquisitions, to help the company improve margins.  Develop Excel-based model(s) to underwrite single-family residential (retail & portfolio) properties and advise on deal KPIs compared to the portfolio’s investment thresholds. Develop and manage cash management dashboard facilitating cash and bank account monitoring activity across entities in the portfolio and optimal cash management, ensuring compliance with debt covenants, debt servicing and other operating expenses. Compare and analyze portfolio performance to budget and other publicly listed real estate companies and broad industry trends. Based on analysis of latest operational metrics, prepare financial forecasts and presentations for senior management and external stakeholders. Collaborate directly with the senior management to develop strategic growth plans, gathering and analyzing data to offer financial insights driving key business initiatives. Coordination with internal and joint venture partners accounting teams on monthly financial reporting and analysis including reviewing monthly financials and preparing and explaining the budget-actual variance analysis. With guidance from senior management team, prepare annual budgets and cashflow forecasts for each portfolio. Collaborate with team members while also exhibiting autonomy in project/task execution. This is primarily an in-office role. Remote work is permitted on an as-needed basis.  

 

SPECIAL SKILLS: Position requires a Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field and eighteen (18) months experience. Six (6) months experience must have included: Developing Strategic Financial Models, Short- and Long-term Financial Forecasts, Develop Stress Testing and Scenario Analysis tools to assess financial risks. Requires a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) professional certification. In lieu of the above requirements, will accept a Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field and 24 months of relevant experience. Six (6) months experience must have included: Developing Strategic Financial Models, Short- and Long-term Financial Forecasts, Develop Stress Testing and Scenario Analysis tools to assess financial risks.
